If you were raised in Louisiana like I was, Moonshine is not a foreign concept. Every family has their recipe for "white lightnin'" and has their own way of making the 150 proof alchohol tolerable. My grandmother recently let me in on the Favaloro trade secret, which turns what is normally undiblee into a dessert. This recipe is perfect for parties, as the recipe produces 20 servings, and tastes just like a perfect slice of apple pie.

Ingredients

64 ounces of apple cider
64 ounces of apple juice
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoon apple pie spice
12 cinnamon sticks
3 cups of 100-160 proof grain alchohol
1 cup of caramel vodka
1 cup of vanilla vodka

How To Prepare

1.) Add apple cider, apple juice, both sugars, apple pie spice and six cinnamon sticks to a large pot and bring to a boil.

2.) Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3.) Remove from hat and cool COMPLETELY to room temperature. Discard the cinnamon sticks.

4.) Stir in grain alchohol, caramel vodka, and vanilla vodka to the cooled mixture.

5.) Divide 6 fresh cinnamon sticks among six, 32 ounce mason jars.

6.) Pour moonshine evenly into mason jars. Seal jars tightly with lids.
